Dear Residents and Visitors,

The Spring Lake Police Department would like to remind everyone to help keep our community safe by locking your vehicles and homes, even when you are away for a short period of time.

Recently, our community experienced a motor vehicle theft. While Spring Lake remains a very safe town, this incident serves as an important reminder that criminals often look for easy opportunities. Please ensure your vehicles are locked, keys and key fobs are not left inside, and valuables are removed from plain view. We also encourage residents to secure all doors and windows to their homes.

A few simple precautions can go a long way in preventing crime and protecting your property.
