Mayor Jennifer Naughton has served as Mayor since December 2006. Her current four year term will expire on December 31, 2027, She was previously a member of the Borough Council from 2000-2002.
Mayor Naughton serves on the Council Finance/Personnel Committee as well as Beach & Pool Utilities, Communications, County Relations, DPW/Recycling, Public Safety, Technology, and Water & Sewer committees.
A lifelong resident of Spring Lake, Mayor Naughton is the President of Radiant Resources, a local technology services firm.

Brendan Judge has served as a Spring Lake Councilman since January 1, 2012. He serves on the Beach & Pools Committee, Affordable Housing, Finance/Personnel, Parks & Recreation, and Public Safety committees. Raised in Spring Lake, Mr. Judge has previously served as the Spring Lake Municipal Prosecutor and as Founding President of the Spring Lake Educational Foundation. Mr. Judge is a graduate of Notre Dame University and Notre Dame Law School. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Notre Dame Law School Association, and as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Samaritan Center At The Jersey Shore. A partner with the law firm of Connell Foley, LLP, Mr. Judge practices primarily commercial, banking and construction litigation. He and his wife, Beth, have four children, Alec, Sean, Owen and Nora.

Miss McDonough has lived in Spring Lake since 2017 and is a full time real estate agent with Christie's International Realty Group. Kathleen McDonough was elected to Borough Council in January of 2022 for the three year term of 2022-2024. Miss McDonough's current term will end December 31, 2027. Miss McDonough serves as Council Liaison to the Business Improvement District, Planning Board, Land Use and Water & Sewer, Parks & Recreation, and Environmental Affairs committees.

Edwin Hale has served as a Councilman since January 1, 2023. He serves on the Roads, Public Works and Public Safety Committees. He is the Council liasion to the County of Monmouth and the Spring Lake Board of Education. Mr. Hale is a lifelong resident of Monmouth County and has resided in Spring Lake for over twenty years. Mr. Hale has served the residents of Spring Lake as a two term Board of Education member, as the Spring Lake Fire Chief, as the Deputy Coordinator of the Spring Lake Office of Emergency Management, as a Planning Board member, President of Spring Lake/Sea Girt Little League, the advancement Council of Spring Lake BSA Troop 31. He is a member of the Spring Lake Five Race Committee and currently the Race Director since 2019. He and his wife Irene, have three children, Matthew, Nathan and Melanie.

Matthew Sagui was elected to Borough Council in November, 2014 and started serving his first term in January 2015. Councilman Sagui serves on the Beach & Pool Utilities Committee as well as Land Use, and Water & Sewer committees.

Syd Whalley was appointed to serve on the Borough Council in February 2017 to fill a vacancy. She was elected to fill a one-year unexpired term in 2018. She won election to a three-year term for 2022-2024 and was re-elected again for 2025-2027.
Ms. Whalley serves on the Council's Park and Recreation Committee as well as Environmental Affairs, Affordable Housing, and Roads committees. She is the Council Liaison to the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) and the Spring Lake Shade Tree Committee. She previously served as the Council Liaison to the Spring Lake Public Library and the Spring Lake Board of Education. She curated the BID's 2016, 2019 and 2022 Seward Johnson Sculpture Exhibits along Third Avenue.
