Mission Statement Since its inception in 1901, Goodwill Fire Company No. 2 has been protecting the lives and property of the residents, visitors and merchants of Spring Lake. As volunteers, we stand ready to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  Volunteer firefighting is one of the oldest American traditions, and we serve our community with pride and dedication.

Our members receive Firefighter Certification from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Fire Safety.  Extensive drills and training exercises are conducted locally throughout the year.  We are trained to respond to structure fires, automobile accidents and fires, carbon monoxide alarms, hazardous material incidents, downed power lines and various other emergencies.  Our goal is to serve our community in a highly professional manner.

Community Service In addition to our volunteer firefighting service, our members sponsor a number of community service activities throughout the year, e.g., Santa Rides Christmas Delivery, the Spring Lake Children's Easter Egg Hunt, Fire Prevention Programs and the Halloween Parade and Party.  Goodwill Fire Company is also proud to participate in the various Borough events and community activities throughout the year, e.g., the Christmas Tree Lighting, the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies, the Spring Lake – Sea Girt Little League Parade, Spring Lake Drug Prevention Alliance fund raising events and the Spring Lake 5 Mile Run and Kids Race.

Prospective Membership Information Goodwill Fire Company is always looking for community members interested in helping with our firefighting and community service activities.  In addition to Active Membership, the Company offers Associate Membership (ages eighteen and older) and Junior Membership (fourteen up to eighteen years old) categories.  Anyone interested in learning more about joining Goodwill Fire Company No. 2 to serve the Spring Lake community in any of these membership categories is encouraged to stop by our station at the address above on our drill nights (i.e., any Sunday at 5 p.m. or the third Tuesday evening of each month at 7:00 p.m.) or simply provide your name and contact information to us using the U.S. mail, telephone, email or fax information above.
