Spring Lake Late Season Beach and Pool Update

Spring Lake beaches will remain open and guarded through Monday, September 7. As is typical for this time of year, we are operating with a reduced number of available lifeguards. It is not possible to safely open every beach for swimming. Our late season protocol calls for opening fewer swimming beaches, while having improved safety protocols for those sections of the beach that are open for swimming.

We have at least one protected swimming area at every zone along our 2 miles of beach front. We also have four guarded surfing beaches. Each guard stand has 3-4 life guards assigned to it. You may only see one guard on the stand; the others are assigned to the beach and the water. Each swimming area is clearly marked; for your safety, please swim in these marked locations. We have also significantly reduced the number of daily badge sales to limit crowding.

South End: The South End Pool and Pavilion will close at 8pm on Monday September 7. Please remove all items from your lockers prior to 6pm on 9/7 as there will be no access to the building after Monday. The area will be off limits due to the start of the renovation project.

North End: From September 8-13, the North End pool will be open daily from 7am to 7pm. From September 14-27, we will be open daily from 8am – 6pm. All items must be removed from lockers and all beach boxes by Sunday, September 27 at 6pm. There will be no access to these areas once we close.

This has been a season like no other and we are thankful to have been able to safely operate the beaches and pools this year. Enjoy the rest of the summer.
